Hello! I’m Andrew Foster.

Two of my greatest passions are making pictures and observing animals.

I trained as an artist in Rome, Italy and here in Melbourne at RMIT. My work has been hung at The National Gallery of Victoria, The Australian National Gallery, Heide Museum of Modern Art and many other galleries and private collections.

I have spent decades as an artist/illustrator and use many mediums. I find that often the image you send of your friend will suggest a particular style and am happy to discuss this with you.

I aim to give you the portrait you want of your companion, whether it’s a gift, a memento or to be made into a calendar, a card, an image on a coffee cup or your desktop. You may want to consider a gift voucher for a friend.

Although my gallery shows cats and dogs I am happy to create portraits of bunnies, budgies and boa constrictors. Portraits of owners with their companion are also available.
